Inauguration Breakfast

By Spencer Kornhaber

Published on January 15, 2009 at 2:42am

Happily for women’s rights groups but sadly for Sarah Palin, our new pro-choice president will be inaugurated two days before the 36th anniversary of Roe v. Wade. Holding the event at UCI, Planned Parenthood Orange is commemorating the coincidence by raising funds, eating breakfast and watching Mr. Obama’s swearing-in on a big-screen TV. A ticket to the breakfast costs $22, but you can donate more for reserved seats and triumphant sponsorship titles like “YES WE DID” ($250) and “CHOICE CHAMPION” ($1000). Cheapos can support the cause by hissing at jumbo-sized Rick Warren and John Roberts. At the University Club.
