Dreamgirls Revue

By Amanda Parsons

Published on January 01, 2009 at 2:45am

It was right around this time two years ago when Beyoncé Knowles and Jennifer Hudson brought the house down with the film rendition of Dreamgirls—the fictional story loosely based on the careers of Diana Ross and the Supremes. You may recall that the film was robbed (ROBBED!) of winning Best Song at the Academy Awards that year, too. (We still can’t believe they gave the Oscar to Melissa Etheridge for that Al Gore movie.) Well, the good news is that those beautiful masterpieces of music are back and better than ever during Club Ripples’ Dreamgirls Revue. Watch as three lovely drag queens belt out such musical classics as “Listen,” “Love You I Do,” “Patience” and “Perfect World” while shaking it up in sexy sequined dresses. It’s the stuff dreams are made of.
