Pop Rocks

For over thirty years now, Cheap Trick has been churning out pop gem after pop gem, avoiding the usual rock ‘n’ roll pitfalls that swallowed up many of their contemporaries. Almost anyone who grew up in the late ‘70s knew such hits as “Surrender,” and “I Want You to Want Me,” by heart, and for good reason. Their hooks are so naturally catchy, they sound like they were fully formed at the beginning of time, just waiting for Cheap Trick to find them. Sure, they have released a few albums that might not have been as good as their fans would have liked, but with their newest album Rockford, they’ve found favor with fans and critics alike once more.
