’Tis the season when a small donation can get you a lot of entertainment. Local surf/soul troubadour Mike Vavak has teamed up with surfing-accessory company Ocean & Earth to bring us the ONE Celebration, a charity event featuring local artists and musicians and benefiting the OC Rescue Mission. In addition to being Vavak’s first show in more than a year, the evening will feature the jazzy-folk meanderings of pro skater Ray Barbee alongside the Mattson 2, as well as art by Cold War Kids’ Matt Maust and photos by Matt Wignall. The small donation? A single can of food.
