The Cerritos College Theatre Department is proud to present the gritty drama ¿De Dónde? by Mary Gallagher and directed by John Zamora. This play focuses on immigrants coming northward in pursuit of the fabled “American Dream.” For them, the reality is much crueler. They face prejudice and mistreatment at the hands of not only the white-skinned Americans (gueros) but also at the hands of some first- and second- generation immigrants. This hard-hitting play with a strong statement will leave audiences with quite a lot of food for thought.
Thursdays-Saturdays, 8 p.m.; Sun., Dec. 14, 2 p.m. Starts: Dec. 5. Continues through Dec. 14, 2008
