Guess Whose Coming?

The Dinner Party

By CHESNEY HIGGINS

Published on November 06, 2008 at 2:49am

Rounding out a great year of deliciously varied theater, STAGES mounts The Dinner Party. A cast of six characters are brought together for a night that promises to change their lives. The guests have not been told why they’ve been invited or who else will be in attendance, but the past is sure to rear it’s unwelcome head as it usually does in life; the only difference being Neil Simon’s incomparable wit and comic timing pulls the audience willingly into the experience. Under the assured directorial hand of Amanda DeMaio—a playwright herself—just about anything can become comedy gold. Top it off with the absolute (unpaid, by the way) pros of STAGEStheatre, and ladies and gentlemen, you’ve got a great night of theater.
Fridays, Saturdays, 8 p.m.; Sundays, 6 p.m. Starts: Oct. 24. Continues through Dec. 1, 2008
