All of you who hypothesized that when former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum mused about “man on dog,” or Texas Senator John Cornyn came up with (but did not speak) that line about gay marriage being the equivalent of the union of “man and box turtle,” that these far-right culture warriors might have been, like, projecting? Giving voice to their deepest, darkest desires? You were totally right. Looks like, pass or fail, Prop. 8 will be a win-win for this crowd.
