Tina Turner

What’s love got to do with it, you wonder? Eh, sometimes not that much. That’s right, folks. Every now and again, it’s okay to bone without love, and we all know it, thanks in part to the empowering pipes of Tina Turner, the diva who schooled us all with her soulful voice, fantastic wigs and rockin’ legs on her breakthrough solo album, Private Dancer. She’s had an inspirational film based on her life, including her struggles with abusive ex-husband Ike Turner. She’s a pillar of strength whom even the most cynical bastards can respect, and she still looks friggin’ amazing for a lady who has been performing since the late ’50s. Watch her work it this weekend, and see for yourself why MTV refers to her as “the most dynamic female soul singer in the history of the music.”
