Jonezetta at Chain Reaction

By NATE JACKSON

Published on October 04, 2008 at 2:46am

These days, some musicians agree that youth just ain't what it used to be. Jonezetta, a Jackson Mississippi five-piece, are certainly spreading that time-worn gospel with their new CD "Cruel to Be Young". But cheer up kids, despite the bleak banner, Jonezetta has never made angst sound so sunny. Wielding a mix of catchy pop choruses and introspective lyrics, the band definitely falls on the lighter side of Warped Tour-tested alumni. Frequent outings with other KROQ ready favs like Anberlin, Bayside and The whig is another boost to their resume. They've made plans to zip down to Anaheim's Chain Reaction on their current U.S. tour. Supporting acts for the night include Lakes, Love You Long Time, Fiasco and Lions of Corinth.
