The earth will be rocking and rolling again, but unlike July’s quake, this time, it won’t be registering at Caltech. The Inland Empire epicenter may be the same, but in this case, all the rumbling is man-made. It’s NASCAR, baby, the largest spectator sport outside the Olympics. Take that , China. If you couldn’t make it to Beijing, you can head over to the Auto Club Speedway, where more than 100,000 fans are expected. This being the IE, it’ll be hot, but there’ll be plenty of misters and shade areas. There’ll be no relief, however, from the adrenalin rush you’ll get from watching the racers take a nice, casual Sunday drive at more than 200 mph.
