Documental : Contemporary Video Art From Europe

By Gray Beltran

Published on August 28, 2008 at 2:41am

While some people talk about becoming “citizens of the world,” the LA Art Girls endeavor to become “artists of the world” through installations such as Documental at Chapman University’s Guggenheim Gallery. Micol Hebron, a Chapman art professor and founder of the LA Art Girls collective, will curate this video exchange between German and American artists with co-curator and fellow LA Art Girl Kim Schoenstadt. Chapman will display the work of four artists from Düsseldorf, while, across the Atlantic, the Nüans art gallery in Düsseldorf will show pieces from several Los Angeles artists, including two members of the LA Art Girls.
Mondays-Fridays, noon; Saturdays, 11 a.m. Starts: Sept. 2. Continues through Oct. 4, 2008
