Green Threads Fashion Show

By Arrissia Owen Turner

Published on August 28, 2008 at 2:41am

The OC Green Guide web site offers up a concise list for consumers seeking eco-savvy businesses to give their green to. Looking to have some biodiesel delivered? Or maybe it’s fine bamboo cabinetry you fancy? Either way, ocgreenguide.com has you covered. After a successful art show fund-raiser in March, the site is going bigger with the Green Threads Event, featuring a fashion show, a charity auction with organic hors d’oeuvres and cocktails, and a live performance by the band Dolphin City. The show will feature works from more than 10 environmentally conscious clothing designers, including Kit Pistol, the SoCal native who was a popular fixture on Project Runway. Proceeds benefit OC’s Coastkeeper organization, a non-profit dedicated to protecting and preserving local marine habitats and watersheds.
