Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune

By Deborah Song

Published on August 21, 2008 at 2:40am

He’s an ex-con who keeps a Shakespeare collection in his locker. She is a failed actress turned waitress. These two unlikely candidates for grand romance find love after a one-night stand in Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune. This adult comedy takes an unflinching look at the realities of modern relationships, in all of their dubious glories. Should this make you uncomfy, not to worry. Just picture Frankie and Johnny naked, which will be easy to do. The two middle-aged “losers” reveal their deep insecurities of desperation and depression by letting it all hang out. Literally.
Thursdays-Saturdays, 8 p.m.; Sundays, 2 p.m. Starts: Aug. 28. Continues through Sept. 21, 2008
