Evita

By Eleanor Carmichael

Published on August 14, 2008 at 2:41am

Don’t cry for her, Orange County. Eva Peron never left you. In fact you can see her every weekend this month. Evita, the hit Andrew Lloyd Webber musical and winner of seven Tony Awards, is coming to the Chance Theater in Anaheim Hills. This all-dancing, all-singing production tells the story of the infamous wife of Argentine dictator Juan Peron and her struggle to become the most influential woman in South America. Get your tickets now because unlike the infamous Peron (who ruled Argentina for nine years until deposed), this show will only be around for a month.
Saturdays, 3 & 8 p.m.; Sundays, 2 & 7 p.m.; Fridays, 8 p.m. Starts: Aug. 2. Continues through Sept. 7, 2008
