Shake Rattle and Pour

By Amanda Parsons

Published on August 14, 2008 at 2:41am

Bartenders, God bless ‘em—they listen to our drunken stories, take orders, generously provide heavy pours, all while adorned in tight uniforms. They’re the people making a living providing a little spice to our monotnous lives by pushing one of the country’s last legal drugs—and oh, how they push it. But only one can be known as “the best.” Because of our human need to be considered superior to our colleagues, Mozambique Steakhouse has decided to throw a competition where you, the frequent bar patron, are the judge. So go there and drink, flirt, schmooze and pass judgement—hell, you were going to do it anyway, at least this time someone will benefit. The winner gets $500, a two-night stay at the Hilton Waterfront Hotel in Huntington Beach, their signature cocktail featured on Mozambique’s menu and bragging rights.
Mondays, 7 p.m. Starts: Sept. 1. Continues through Sept. 8, 2008
