In 1985, Steven Spielberg had a stroke of genius. He combined a disfigured man-child with a candy bar fetish, a move known as the Truffle Shuffle, a pirate named after a penis (One-Eyed Willie), a young Corey Feldman and a future hobbit into a treasure quest film that defined a generation. Richard Donner directed The Goonies, the story of a rag tag group of misfits on the run from a mob family while searching for buried treasure to save their beloved homes on the Goon Docks.
