The artists exhibited by the Orange County Center for Contemporary Art (OCCCA) aren’t afraid to test the limits of artistic expression. The gallery’s current exhibition, Alternate Views, examines the culture of coastal California, the landscapes of New Zealand, and the nebulous nature of twilight. Through paintings, photography, and “mixed media surf art,” the three featured artists endeavor to construct a unique vision of their subjects, one that transcends conventionality.
