Mayor McCheese

John Mayer

By Deborah Song

Published on July 24, 2008 at 2:41am

Waiting for the world to change? Well, nothing cures the agony of waiting like hearing John Mayer's rock-and-blues inspired voice telling you that your body is a wonderland. The Grammy-winning, multi-platinum singer and songwriter is on tour to support his new album Where the Light Is, which will also showcase sets from Colbie Caillat and Brett Dennen. Mayer, who currently has a single "Say" that's climbing both pop and mainstream charts, may be wealthy enough now not to know too much about the pangs of rising gas prices or the ever-slumping housing market. But he sure sounds like he empathizes.
