Flobots

Love it or hate it, when someone mentions "that handlebars song," you know what tune they're talking about. The song has infiltrated radio stations everywhere, starting off as a sweet ode to life's simple pleasures and ending up screaming about the destruction of the planet. The members of Flobots-a band born as a side project three years ago in Denver-are as much social and political revolutionaries as they are musicians. Laden with insurgent in-your-face government/corporate scrutinization, 2007's Fight With Tools propelled the band to nationwide recognition. Layering thick beats over rich classical-music elements brings those angry and assaulting lyrics to a new level of intense. Epic!
