‘I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do’

We really don't have anything new to say about super Swedish pop/dance group ABBA. You already know it all: hysterical international fame. More than 370 million records sold. About a squillion highly recognizable tracks. A hit musical. And now: a film starring none other than Meryl Streep. But we do, however, have endless devotion for affordable Swedish furniture and home-goods store IKEA. We love you, IKEA. Thank you for our cheap dresser made of particle board. And to honor its Swedish heritage, IKEA is celebrating the stateside release of Mamma Mia! with a special in-store movie-ticket giveaway-with a Mamma Mia! -themed karaoke sing-along. And don't worry about actually sounding good; it's not exactly a contest either: anyone who participates wins. Still too shy? IKEA customers who show up in wedding apparel can enter to win gift cards. Come on. So you might have to sing "Take a Chance on Me" to a crowd of Costa Mesa oglers and hecklers-potentially us-but think of all the free stuff!
