Organ Loner

Voodoo Organist

By TOM CHILD

Published on May 22, 2008 at 2:40am

The organ is one of the most versatile instruments known to man. Equally at home in churches, classical concert halls, Transylvanian counts' parlors and baseball stadiums, it is a jack-of-all-trades. Scott Wexton is a man who truly knows the ins and outs of the organ. Playing for some time as a one-man band (which always warrants props), Wexton has added a percussionist to his lineup, but the real focus is the organ, an ominous presence in all his songs. Wexton brings his unique sound to Alex's, where he's guaranteed to draw a crowd of wonderful weirdoes.
