Sing Out, Louise!

Ah, open mics. Chances are, you’re already well aware of the kind of musicians who usually show up at these things. So, are the crew who populate Acoustic Brew at the House of Blues’ Voodoo Lounge any different? Nah. It’s mostly your sensitive, college-sweater-wearing, snoozy singer/songwriter type with jangly acoustic in hand. Work up the courage to perform yourself, or just sit back and take it all in—so you can make fun of it later. (Trust us, it’s fun!) Either way, beer’s now officially cheaper than gas, so drink, don’t drive. That way, it won’t matter what the dude onstage with the puka-shell necklace sounds like.
