Spring Garden Show

By Amanda Parsons

Published on April 17, 2008 at 2:40am

They say that working in the soil leads to a long, happy life-that, and lower back problems. But what's a little backache when there are flowers involved? Especially if the flowers are all native to our region and don't require wasted water. The 19th Annual Southern California Spring Garden Show has decided to adopt a "Greener Living" theme, aimed at showing folks that this spring, gardens can be both beautiful and environmentally responsible. The event will feature original display gardens by landscape architects and horticulture students, complimentary arts and crafts projects for kids, and live animal and bug shows. Not only will your garden look spectacular, but you'll also have saved enough money on your water bill to buy that new back brace!
