By VICKIE CHANG

Published on April 10, 2008 at 2:40am

Remember when all you wanted to do with your life was be a prima ballerina or first chair in a prestigious orchestra? And do you remember when Mom and Dad insisted on law school instead? Your dreams of Juilliard may have been crushed, but these four musicians are living the dream you never got to. The original Juilliard String Quartet were founded in 1946 at the famed New York school. Currently in residence at both Juilliard and the Library of Congress, the quartet have received several Grammys and play a spectrum of classical music, as well as help to promote contemporary composers. Support the arts-even if you never got to take part yourself.
