Craig Shoemaker

By TOM CHILD

Published on April 10, 2008 at 2:40am

His Comedy Central special was ranked one of the top 20 of all time by viewers. His movie The Lovemaster won Best Film at the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival. But we'll always love him for his Don Knotts impersonation, as featured in Pleasantville . Shoemaker pops up all over the place, from comedy clubs to radio (satellite and terrestrial, thank you very much). Drawing material from his life as a newish father, he leans toward the gentler end of the comedy spectrum, so those of you who aren't Katt Williams types should have a great night out. Ask him to tell you about his days in Mayberry.
