World Class Beer
Tasting Wednesdays

By VICKIE CHANG

Published on April 10, 2008 at 2:40am

If you’re tired of the usual snoozy Newport wine-drinking soirees at which everything winds up tasting the same by the end of the night, Kimera Restaurant and Lounge might just have the proper cure-all. Every Wednesday, the global fusion restaurant showcases a variety of beers from around the world. For $14, not only will you get to sample numerous brews you’ve probably never had the pleasure of tasting before, but you’ll also get to munch on complimentary pommes frites —that’s European for fancy fries—with the house chef’s dipping selection. Enjoy the frites (we prefer them avec mayonnaise) and learn to love something other than Budweiser.
