Berlin

By Patrick Chavis

Published on April 04, 2008 at 2:40am

Sadly, for most of the world, Berlin is remembered only as the band that played the hit song in that movie with Ethan Hunt and that guy from ER. But the Orange County natives are hometown heroes, so they can always count on an appreciative crowd when they come around here. Responsible for "Sex (I'm A . . .)." the song that caused many a teenager to quickly reach for the radio knob while driving with their mom, Berlin's mixture of pure new wave and Teri Nunn's melodic, ethereal voice will have you remembering a time when Tom Cruise didn't scare the hell out of so many people.
