The Everyman

Kevin Pollak

By SHAWN SMITH

The best part about not possessing Matthew McConaughey-like abs or rattling off Bruce Willis quips and instead being a somewhat-successful actor with an Everyman face is that your résumé can boast a shitload of movies. Since his first roll in George Lucas' Willow , standup comedian Kevin Pollak has played roles ranging from gangster to the leading man's golfing buddy to, well, himself playing Christopher Walken telling the dirty joke on The Aristocrats . He's had an HBO comedy special and recently released his first CD, A Little Off the Top , recorded in his hometown of San Francisco, in which he dishes on his glamorous-movie-star life. And you barely remember him! What he's best-known for are his imitations of marquee stars such as William Shatner, Alan Arkin and, of course, Walken. It's scarier than Frankenstein's monster or a darting marsupial. See the show. You'll get it.
