Movie of the Week:

Bonneville. Jessica Lange, Joan Allen and Kathy Bates hit the road in this story about three friends who come of age for a second time on a trip across the great American West. What begins as a simple trip will end up becoming a chance to rediscover themselves, their friendship and the importance of promises—and of letting go. South Coast Cinema, 162 S. Coast Hwy., Laguna Beach, (949) 497-1711; www.lagunaartmuseum.org. Thurs., March 20, 7 p.m. $20; Laguna Beach Film Society Members, free .

Also Showing:

A Big Hand for the Little Lady. Henry Fonda and Joanne Woodward star in this comedy western. All sorts of mayhem ensues when a high-stakes poker player drops dead at the table after betting everything he owns and his card-novice wife steps in to take his place. Transformers. Shia LeBeouf stars in this nonstop action film from Michael Bay. Based on the cartoon, shape-shifting robots do battle on planet Earth while mankind trembles in the wake.
