Culture Clash

South Coast Repertory is finally getting Mexicans who aren't janitors or actors in La Posada Magica onto its purty stage with Culture Clash, the chingon Chicano theater troupe famous across Aztlán for their ripe parodies of all things brown and down. But gabachos can also appreciate them for the vicious, Swiftian satire they employ to ridicule the idiots of Earth-and who's more pendejo than our own Orange County. La Naranja is the latest stop on Culture Clash's epic Culture Clash in AmeriCCa , a Studs Terkel approach to documenting major cities across the Republic. This version isn't all OC, but there's enough to make it worth your $20. And talk to them afterward about where their favorite Salvadoran restaurant is, m'kay?
