Famous Puppet Death Scenes

By TOM CHILD

Published on March 20, 2008 at 2:40am

As avid readers of our Calendar section know (hi, Mom!), we are suckers for puppetry and have a morbid fascination with the macabre. Combine the two, as Old Trout Puppet Workshop's touring show Famous Puppet Death Scenes does, and we're completely sold. Famous Puppet Death Scene s is exactly what it sounds like: a collection of famous death scenes from puppet shows throughout history (which would be . . . uh . . . Pinocchio's asphyxiation from choking on a sandwich?). The show promises to bring a little absurdity to one of the more unpleasant realities of existence and remind us that the end comes to even the most ridiculous among us. Do you hear us, Carson Daly?
Thursdays-Saturdays, 8 p.m. Starts: March 20. Continues through March 22, 2008
