Diana Vishneva--Beauty in Motion

Celebrated around the world as one of the most gifted and beloved prima ballerinas, Diana Vishneva is returning to the Orange County Performing Arts Center to appear in three world-premiere works choreographed and created just for her: Pierrot Lunaire , PiCarTe and Three Point Turn . Vishneva was born in St. Petersburg and received her training at the Vaganova Choreographic Institute. Soon after, she earned the position of principal dancer (better known as prima ballerina), the second highest title a ballerina can receive. Vishneva's extensive résumé includes Don Quixote , Romeo and Juliet , Swan Lake , Giselle , and her much-praised interpretation of Rubies . She has danced with such acclaimed partners as Vladimir Malakhov; worked with many modern choreographers; and danced with the Kirov Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Bolshoi Ballet and the Paris Opera Ballet. And now she's coming here. To Costa Mesa.
