¡Qué Raro!

Ozomatli

Was Orange County really once so backward that fans rejoiced whenever the LA super-group Ozomatli dared cross into our Mexican-hating domain? Well, it's now 2008, and they perform 'round here almost as much as Social D. If you've been to one Ozo concert, you've been to them all-but we bet you've never attended one, pendejo . So here's what you can expect: hot chicas writhing, big dudes bouncing, the 10-member band's mestizaje of hip-hop, Latin, reggae and even the occasional Japanese beat forcing the most obstinate wallflower to dance dance revolution. They're playing two nights at the Casa de Blues, and if you miss those concerts, you'll just have to wait a couple of months for them to return. But they probably won't come back with their two excellent opening acts, Upground and Cava, so go this time, ¿qué no?
