Jameson’s National
Comedy Tour

By TOM CHILD

Published on January 10, 2008

Standup comedy is a tricky beast. For every Richard Pryor or Steve Martin, there are a million Carlos Mencias, and chances are, most of them are performing on any given night at a club near you. Ask any comedy-club owner, and he'll tell you the real secret for a successful night isn't so much having a killer headliner as making sure everyone in the audience gets snockered. Hence the Jameson Irish Whiskey National Comedy Tour, which features comics Billy Gardell, Bert Kreischer, Steve Byrne and Michael Loftus-and a hell of a lot of alcohol. Once you get a few drinks in you, you'll think you're watching George Carlin.
