Miles of Smiles

'Mouth Power'

Ask any prop comic: Oversized novelty teeth are hi-larious. Regular teeth, however . . . not so much. Teeth are kind of a pain, to be honest. Always needing to be brushed and flossed and whitened and examined. Always biting the inside of the cheek. But hey, we need them, so we may as well get to know them a little better. The Discovery Science Center is hosting the "Mouth Power" exhibit, which aims to show kids the benefits of good oral hygiene. Youngsters can learn about different teeth and their functions, practice their brushing technique on a giant set of chompers, and try out their Junior Lawrence Olivier interrogation techniques in a child-size dental office. "Is it safe?"
