Bobcat Goldthwait

By NATE JACKSON

Published on January 10, 2008

If paranoid humor is your kind of thing and you have any recollection of the 1980s, then the name Bobcat Goldthwait needs no introduction-a spastic scream would probably do just fine. Goldthwait and his jittery stage persona bugled into mainstream notoriety as Officer Zed in the Police Academy film series; over the span of his career, Goldthwait has lent his trademark tremble to a laundry list of cartoon voices. And who could forget his seminal role as the voice of vulgar Mr. Floppy on the brilliant '90s TV show Unhappily Ever After ? Goldthwait has piled on some writing credits as well: His repertoire includes Chappelle's Show , Jimmy Kimmel Live and The Man Show . He also directed the Comedy Central original movie Windy City Heat , as well as his own dark comedy, Stay . For comedy fans eager for a slice of nostalgia with a side of "Hey, whatever happened to that guy?" Goldthwait's live show should prove to be a warbled scream.
