In this post-Blaine age, making a quarter disappear and guessing people's cards just seems pedestrian. The bar has been levitated, and now, you pretty much have to submerge yourself in a 2,000-gallon tank of water to get any attention. Magician John Gabriel does just that in the trick he calls "Water Tight," and it's this life-or-death energy that his show, Magic Redefined , thrives on. His fan base considers him one of the bravest contemporary magicians; this courage, coupled with his use of music and dramatic choreography, makes for a sensational spectacle. If you are lucky, he might just ask for your assistance during the show, but make sure you leave sporting the same torso you walked in with.
