Get on the Bus

"Hey, c'mon. We're going for a bus ride." When the Doodlebops' main man behind the tour bus wheel busts out this funky jam of an invite, you know you're in for a freaky, tyke-friendly adventure. Then you realize you're totally shaking your derriere like you just don't care along with three of the most fabulously eccentric clowns you've ever seen, and you're fabulously embarrassed. No worries-you're just a dedicated parent creating lasting memories, nurturing your kid's future affinity for the arts. The Doodlebops do sort of rock, you tell yourself, and they're Canadian, so you're exposing your kid to world music! Yeah! And as you find yourself reciting the Doodlebop pledge, you take a glance around and find that you're not alone in your Playhouse Disney delirium, and that today will soon give way to Hannah Montana hysteria. Then you can breathe a sigh of relief, wondering if Eddie Murphy knows there is a blue puppet named Audio Murphy spinning the ones and twos while you admire Rooney Doodle's breakdancing. Yeah, you're going for a busride.
