Bill Cosby

By RYAN RITCHIE

Published on January 11, 2008 at 2:40am

At this point in his nearly five-decade-long career, actor/comedian Bill Cosby's standup routine could cover a myriad of things. From his love of jazz to his son Ennis' startling 1997 murder off the 405 freeway to the recent allegations of sexual assault, the Philadelphia-born comedian has seen his fair share of ups and downs. Unfortunately, the one thing the legendary funnyman probably won't mention in his act is the God-awful sweaters he wore during the eight-season run of The Cosby Show-and that's too bad because he wore some real doozies. And what was with that oddly designed button that adorned each outfit? Cosby is said to have had almost complete creative control of his wildly popular television series, but in hindsight, maybe he shouldn't have skimped on a stylist. Fans expected funny facial contortions and humorous observations of married life, but those sweaters and buttons probably took them off-guard.
