The Global Banquet: The Politics of Food.This film focuses on giant international food producers who celebrate free-trade policies that allow them control of the global food market at the expense of small farmers in the U.S. and in developing countries. These food producers encourage and take advantage of low-cost cash crops and short-term profits, exploiting natural resources without consideration of the long-range effects.
