Guitar Hero Competition

By RACHEL LEESON

Published on December 06, 2007

Embarrassing as it may be to admit, everyone at some point has been guilty of playing some air guitar to their favorite tunes. Which is why Guitar Hero is one of the most brilliant ideas in the history of the gaming industry. No longer do you have to rock out on your imaginary Gibson, constantly looking over your shoulder to make sure no one’s watching. Instead, you can play Guitar Hero, a music video game that gives players the chance to jam on the guitar-shaped controller while their friends cheer them on. The Slidebar Café has taken it to the next level with their Guitar Hero competition every Sunday night. There are prizes to be won—that, and the glory of being a Guitar Hero god. And you can’t beat that. Well, except for maybe being a REAL guitar hero. But that takes time and musical talent. And who’s got those nowadays?
