Eazy Does It

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony

Ten years ago, they were gods. Last year, they were has-beens. This year? Who the hell knows? Back in the day, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony sold 10 million records and won two Grammys-including one for 1997's mega-hit "Tha Crossroads." (Preteens locked arms and swayed to a melancholy gangsta-rap song dedicated to Eazy-E . . . not that they knew that. They just noticed the beat had slowed, and they had a reason to cop a junior-high feel.) But now they're back, scoring big this year with "I Tried," featuring Akon. The pairing with the seemingly ubiquitous rapper is bringing their school-dance anthems to a new generation. So who cares how we classify them now? At least you know the show will be interesting . . . if only for the crowd-watching.
