Delta Work’s Big Fat Drag Show

By TOM CHILD

Published on December 06, 2007

It's the day after Christmas, and the absolute last thing you want to see is anything to do with fruitcake, out-of-town relatives or that tree dropping all its needles in the living room. But what's the best cure for a mean Christmas hangover? Drag queens! And lots of 'em! Luckily for you, every Wednesday at Long Beach's gay heaven Mick & Mack's, Delta Work's Big Fat Drag Show hosts performances by the most voluptuous ladies in town: Psycadella, Hurricane, Allegra and Delta Work. Also celebrating hump-day, Mick & Mack's helps patrons forget the previous day's family-induced migraine with $5 Long Islands and $3 Pineapple Upside-down Cake Shots. Spent all your money on presents? That's no excuse: Miss Delta never charges a cover. As another added bonus, DJ Dana T spins after the show, so you can dance away the memories of Aunt Gayle berating you about getting married and Grandpa insisting you sit on his lap.
