Without a minute of public debate on Aug. 14, the Orange County Board of Supervisors agreed to a $150,000 taxpayer subsidy to underwrite marketing plans for some of the region's most profitable companies: Disneyland, the Irvine Co., Marriott, Knott's Berry Farm, South Coast Plaza, etc.
