Mummies—Death and the Afterlife in Ancient Egypt. This exhibition features the largest collection of mummies and coffins to ever leave the British Museum since their acquisition by way of pillaging Egyptian pyramids many a century ago. But now, from all that looting, we common folk can learn how Egyptians prepared and sent the dead into the afterlife. Thru April 15, 2007.
