See MirrorMask, Help the Hungry

To promote the release of MirrorMask, among the few PG-rated films to grace Edwards University, the theater invites families to take part in opening weekend festivities and donate food to the homeless in Orange County and Hurricane Katrina's devastating path. At 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the theater's lobby at Campus Drive and Stanford in Irvine, there will be costume and mask-making contests for children, with various prizes given away. But everyone who brings a canned food item that day through the end of October will be eligible to win the biggest prize of all: a Regal Cinemas pass good for a year's worth of movie admissions. The goods are being collected for Katrina victims and the Second Harvest Food Drive, which assists more than 436,000 people who go to bed hungry in Orange County.
