Photo by Jeanne RiceA guy no longer with us once reviewed No Doubt's performance at the Pond and called Gwen Stefani "fat." Hate mail poured in. He doubted himself. Maybe he'd had too much to drink that night? Maybe that was the way she looked from the front row because of some trick of perspective? Maybe it was the overhead lighting on her rock-hard abs? Maybe his eyes were too small? Maybe that's just what happens when a singer, solicitous of those hands reaching from the front row, bends at the waist? Maybe her pants were too tight or her shirt too small? Menstrual bloating?
