I don't think of it as "youth culture." I think I'm helping out my peers. Youth culture is a product, made by people 40 and 50 looking for a job. I don't think youth make "youth culture." I think they just express their creativity—do what they do best. I want to expose their work to the 2,000 people that go to Fuck Yeah Fest. Give them the jump-start to do something.
It'll be another place for young small bands. I feel that's very important. The PCH club was important to me—for years, it really helped me as a person. Just the warm, positive environment of going there. I miss that, and I think the LA scene lacks that, and I know a lot of bands across the country miss that, and it's sad that we reminisce. I don't want to reminisce anymore.
