SATURDAY, June 28 Disneyland closes early today to run a premiere of Disney's upcoming Pirates of the Caribbeanmovie. This is the second film based on a Disneyland ride, following up the enormous success of the Country Bearsmovie that was so popular they closed down the Country Bears attraction. If Pirates does well, look for more Disney/Disneyland-related projects such as From Here to Eternity: The Splash Mountain Queue Story; Throw Momma From the Tram; Dude, Where's My Car Keys? True Tales of the Lost & Found; Terminator IV: Return of the Columbia Sailing Ship; and, for the grownups, Debbie Does Dumbo from the producers of Who Shaved Roger Rabbit.
