Coming Soon to Westminsters Giant Screen

MATT COKER

Published on April 10, 2003

Anyone catch a gander at the Westminster auto dealers' sign overlooking the 405 freeway? Besides letting us know which car lots are offering 0 percent financing, the sign has one of those giant screens that shows photos and even video—just like those outside the mammoth hotels on the Las Vegas strip. The grandmotherly face of Westminster Mayor Margie L. Rice locked on us the last time we zoomed by, her eyes staying on us the whole time—just like those velvet Jesus portraits. Big Mama is watching you! That got us to thinking of other things we'd like to see on Westminster's giant screen.
